Information in this section will help Protocol, Ceremonies and Events schedule volunteer shifts. Please note: A volunteer orientation will be held in advance of Congregation (date to be confirmed), during which we will review roles and answer any questions.

Volunteer Orientation: I will attend the UBC Graduation Volunteer Orientation on?*

All volunteers are encouraged to attend a volunteer orientation session. New volunteers should prioritize attending the in-person session. Returning volunteers can choose which session best suits their availability.

IN PERSON – Orientation on Tuesday May 12th from 9:00AM until 10:00AM located at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts

VIRTUAL – Orientation on Wednesday May 13th from 12:00PM until 1:00PM – Zoom link to be provided

NONE – I’ve volunteered for graduation before and am familiar with the role and responsibility.

Robe Information

Volunteer roles inside The Chan Centre Concert Hall are required to wear regalia. For volunteers in Graduand Marshal and Graduand Usher roles, black robes will be provided, however you may choose to wear your own academic regalia.
