Reserve Guest Tickets

Only students who are eligible and approved to graduate can reserve tickets for their graduation ceremony via the Chan Centre’s online Ticket Reservation System. Detailed deadlines and instructions are available on the ticket reservation page.

Online guest ticket reservations open on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:00 am (PT). Eligible and approved students are guaranteed two (2) complimentary guest tickets for their ceremony if they reserve them by the Friday, May 8 deadline. We strongly recommend students reserve their tickets as soon as possible.

Chan Centre Ticketing cannot guarantee two tickets for students who miss the May 8 deadline. There will be no exceptions for those who miss this first-round reservation period, so please arrange your guest tickets accordingly.

After the first reservation round, the Chan Centre will calculate the number of unclaimed tickets per ceremony and allocate any remaining tickets among graduating students. Additional tickets, if available, may be purchased during the second round from Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:00 am until 9:59 am (PT) the day before your ceremony.

Any remaining tickets after the first two rounds will be released to the public without limits at 10:00 am (PT) the day before each ceremony.

Guest Seating

Guests of graduating students should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. We ask that all guests be seated within 10 minutes of the start time. Seating for all graduation ceremonies is general admission and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the ceremony begins, any unclaimed seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Any seat numbering on Chan Centre tickets is not applicable for graduation ceremonies.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available at the Chan Centre for people with limited mobility including wheelchairs and walkers.

For guests requiring accessibility assistance, please arrive at the Chan Centre 45 minutes prior to the graduation ceremony start time and let the Chan Centre ushers know. They will assist with pre-seating, in advance of the start of the graduation ceremony.

F.M. Hearing System headsets are also available free of charge for those who are hard of hearing. For further details or to make special arrangements for your guests, please contact the Chan Centre via email at chan.tickets@ubc.ca.
